I like P5 because it's like 30 years old, and sounds dirty/analog/vintage...So I would never buy a new analog synth... for me new synth = digital. But man, I do like old synths!!! I don't know what makes them so good...

Having us a P5 rev 3.3 and P'08 extensively,I dont agree with that at all. The P5 has a slightly bigger and dirtir sound....but the P'08 is equally a warm, just as punchy (punchier actually)and is more musical/versatile. The best of both worlds.

some people have described the p8 is being better for electronica and 'pure' sounds on the treble. all a question of preference.

splitsides - Synthesizer Service Centre in west london ( it'll come out top on google if you type that in ) is the best in the south, not sure about the north.

the Po8's a different and new synth that really does different things - a lot of people like both. P5 will always be the big daddy of sequential.

I'm purchasing a rev 3 in the next few weeks. Cannot wait! For servicing in the UK, can anyone recommend? |
