It sounds like the last 10 seconds or so is the start of 'les chevaux de bois', a valse by hurdy-gurdy maker Bernard Kerboeuf

When my friend told me there was an instrument called Hurdy Gurdy I thought he was joking O_O

the crank turns a wheel that runs perpendicular to the 3 strings in the body. 2 strings are drones, and the middle string's tone is changed by keys that change the pitch of the string.

How does it work? I'm intrigued! How does it work/produce chords? Is it stringed on the inside?

Ha mesmerized, its great you used that term because it is directly related to another instrument the Glass Armonica that was loved by an early psychology doctor named Mesmer or something like that... anywho look it up, its neat. |
