Disagree. Bird had skills that nobody had then, and nobody has now. While the players have improved over the years in terms of athleticism, they haven't improved in terms of vision, intuition, and the ability to slow the game down in their head. Bird would dominate today just as he did then. One of a kind player, regardless of whether he played 20 years ago or now. Check out those slap passes and no look redirects on the film. Ever seen another player do anything like that since Bird?

Man, I hate to say it but Bird would have done nothing if he played in the NBA today. It's a shame, but slow white guys can't accomplish anything anymore.

Larry Bird will go down as being the greatest small town NBA basketball player to have ever played the game PERIOD. Jordon owned the basket, but Larry owned the entire court.
