Man, that's one awesome ensemble. Top notch musicians top to bottom. Ry is fabulous of course but what a difference a tight band makes! Awesome!!

Chicken Skin is my favorite Ry album. His version of He'll have to go beats Jim Reeves' version by miles. Yellow Roses can still bring tears to my eyes.

Marvellous stuff! I first became aware of Ry Cooder when he accompanied Gordon Lightfoot on that lovely number "Cobwebs and Dust" (This was early 1970s). Like so many of you, I love the songs on "Chicken Skin Music" and hope Ry continues to play his music for ever ... and never "chickens out"! |
