The Yippie philosophy will probobly never die, so long as there's a government and problems with it (which is inevitable)

Then we'd elect another Nixon...

I agree with gish on the voiceover. Overall it's fairly informative given its brevity. One nitpick though is that you incorrectly label Tom Hayden as a Yippie. He was, in fact, never a Yippie. He was SDS (still in existence at the time). And the Yippies were only a part of what happened in Chicago in '68 (albeit a very significant part). There were other factions present, most notably SDS, MOBE, and the Panthers, among others. Anyway, sorry for the gripes. Just interested in accuracy.

I definitely agree. If only the current leftist movements could mimic the forceful yet peaceful actions of those of the 60s.

The Yippies, SNCC, Students for a Democratic Society ( which has started up again) all have had a very strong influence upon society IMHO for the positive.

Well assembled, good video clips, good choice of music. Overall, this video is very well informative of the subject. My only complaint is that I think Mr. Langhinrichs would have done well to pay a voice-over professional to do the narration, as I had to strain to make out much of the narration. |
