theres noway a V8supercar is faster than a DTM car..it doesnt take much to compare them..the aussie cars r indeed stock cars at heart..the DTM shares no more than bodywork to its street going brother..the rest is tubes and drivetrain..completely different layout underneath its skin...the idea behind theV8 supercars is to make an affordable and very tight cship thru lo-tech..this sells the stock cars..dont forget the DTMs engines r restricted..i havent seen DTMs slide around like V8s or NASCARs..

I think that v8 supercars are faster but I still love DTM more.

The sound comes by joining both banks of cylinders of the engine in a common exhaust collector,the engine has a 180° crank which means that each bank fires as 2 seperate 4 cyl. engines,but the crank still gets a firing impuls every 90° because the V of the block is angled at 90°. When these 2 banks of cyl. are merged together in one exhaust collector, you hear not two 4 cyl. engines dumping in it's own exhaust collector, but hearing all 4 firing impules every revolution together at 90° apart.

unfortunately I think a DTM car would kill a v8supercar just because a DTM cars center of gravity & overall balance is far better than a good old aussie v8! I think it sux that they let Rossi & "has beens" like Ralf Schumacher have cracks at driving in other racing codes! they should let the young & up coming drivers have a crack! & if they're gonna let someone have a one off spin then why not the average race fan!!!!!!
