Gear Selection and spacing could use major work, he's driving it as if it was a wimpy gas engine, Use the TORQUE man!

..and not only 2010/2011 but beyond that. I think ACO is going to releave some guide lines what to expect beyond 2010 regs during this week, before Le Mans race...

I know you're post is 7 months old... but currently and for some time already it has looked like in future open cockpits will still be allowed. At least until 2010 or 2011.

the engines in f1 are v10's and v8's because of FIA mandates. I don't think the teams would have chosen to switch to a 2.4 liter v8 from 3.0 v10's and voluntarily freeze all engine development for the next few years.
elibarquero (January 10, 2008 at 10:03 pm)
um i dont think they are going to make an r12 because it's too heavy of an engine. so the best tuning and power to weight ratio is better on the r10. it goes the same in formula 1 cars that's why most of the cars are v10's and v8's

They designed it closed cockpit because the le mans regs are changing to closed cockpit prototypes in a few years, but they didnt do it for the R10 because those regs hadent been released at the time |
