I'm not beat, and neither are American cars. Seriously, when was the last time you were here? What was the last American car you drove? I really don't think you know our cars at all, seeing as how you yourself stated that you had to look up the Malibu and CTS. The CTS-V has been praised for its engineering and craftsmanship by every automotive publication. I think your thinking is still stuck in the 80s and 90s. Our cars are currently better than they've ever been before.

I never said M5 was the pinicle of European cars. My statement was European cars not BMW alone, but BMW is better. Acceleration times, HP etc is higher but that doesn't mean anything if it is not engineered properly. By that definition a 95 skyline is better then both cars because many have been tuned to 1000bhp. Bugatti Veyron has higher everything. For any American junk there is plethora to supersede it. I know Americans are very patriotic, but you have to know when you are beat kid, sorry.

All that means is that you have no knowledge of the automotive world at all. The new CTS and CTS-V were the talk of every automotive website for weeks after the reveal. All you've proven is that you like European cars. Most of your arguments are conjectures. You didn't compare the M5's V10 engine to the CTS-V's V8, you just mocked it for having a V8. Look up the 0-60 acceleration times, horsepower, and torque for the 2009 CTS-V, and they're all better than the M5's.

biased???? I state facts. I say why european cars are better. You haven't proven otherwise. You have just made generalization about the WHOLE WORLD wanting the CTS-V which i never heard of until you mention proving it's obscurity.Tax laws doesn't prove a car is better. By that definition a Prius is better then a Bugatti.Like i said b4, european cars are better, whether it be an BMW M5 or Citroen C5.Don't worry though, you're just biased, you can't give an honest opinion.

Well you see, here in America we have something called the "gas guzzler tax," a stupid fee that's needed to be payed when you buy a car like an M5 with a V10. To get around that, we supercharge V8's so you can still get reasonable fuel economy and avoid the tax. And I hate the prius, but it really depends on how you drive it. If you drive like me, fast acceleration and such, you won't get anywhere near the advertised MPG.And once again, you're biased, you can't give an honest opinion.

Find me the performance specs of an M5, and you'll see that they are indeed comparable to the CTS-V, and in some cases even better.Mercedes's quality is no longer what it used to be. I like BMW/Mercedes, but I wouldn't buy one. As for Volkswagen, the only cars I like from them are the Jetta/Passat. I can't say that I like any of Audi's cars, and their quality isn't that great either. But then again, you're biased because you live in Europe. You can't offer an honest opinion of our cars.

Dude...you obviously haven't seen any of our new cars...so I don't think you can talk. If you still think they're boxy, handle badly, and have no finesse, explain why so many automotive publications are talking about how new American cars are the best they've ever been in terms of quality and performance. The new Malibu and CTS are perhaps the best examples of this. I really think it's just you, because people all over the world, in Europe, China, India, Australia, everyone wants a CTS.
