this video supports my theory about the magnetic feild. In the show lost in i think season 2, it shows two guys in some lab with lots of snow out the window. I figure they are in the artic because the earths magnetic feild is the weakest there. This is why we see the northern lights (sun radation) The artic would be the best place to notice a large release of magnetic energy (island and the botton not being pushed)
