hmmm.. perhaps..I personally have never noticed this distiction any time I have been in wales, but you may be right overall, what with the genetic makeup of most english people being (mostly) germanic/scandinavian and welsh people tending to have more celtic ancestry, but that's not the point I was making; Someone can be of any race and still be welsh.

welsh are ethnically distinct from the majority of britain. they are darker, and more mediterranean in looks.

I'm Welsh and I found it funny. At the end of the day everyone is entitled to their own opinion and if Anne Robinson hates the Welsh, so what?? We all know there are people who don't like the Welsh, just like there are people who don't like other nationalities. It didn't bother us before, so why should it bother us now, just because Anne Robinson announced it on TV.

The welsh aren't an ethnic group (neither are muslims for that matter) they are the inhabitants of a particular region. If she'd proposed that the French or Americans go into room 101, no-one would have batted an eyelid.Not that I'm a fan of her or anything, I don't agree or approve of what she said but it was just a joke and you're being a moron.
