i am sorry but u r ompletly wrong we have a pit and it sleeps in my lil sister room and is the best dog we have ever hand very protective but not to where she is dangerous just dont try and go in my house when i am not there .... it is all how the dogs r raised ,... i am sorry i just hate how people sterio type pitts... its humans who make them like that

an am staff has a diffrnt nature than a pit altogeather a pit bull is skitsofrenic hence my spelling an am staff can distuinguish friend from foe where a pit bull simply CAN NOT.

A 'pi bull' is a stereotypical turn used on dogs that are used as pit fighters. Generally dog aggressive dogs with square heads. The UKC can class Am. Staffs however they want, it doesn't make it a correct term though.

but in the uk an american staff is a PITBULL because there is only ukc here not akc so england would class a amstaff as a pitbull , clear ??? if not search thru net or books.

no such thing as an american staff? hmm not a dog expert then,its complicated but years ago b4 american staffs there were only pitbulls ukc registered,then the akc wanted pitbulls but shunned the name pitbull so changed to american staff so hence ukc pitbull akc american staff tho many years ago the breed may of slightly changed >>>
