Contrived As Always. He'd a been a great folk artist.....but he had this notion that folk and traditional weren't an expressive enough vehicle. At least folk has Heart and Soul. This is Daydreams and Clichés.

I saw Luka Bloom @ the Belly Up San Diego in the early 90's. I watched him play and play hard. He broke every string on his guitar. I've never seen guitar playing that aggressive, and I play Black Metal. He does not hold back. The lyrics are what they are. Just being able to shred like that and sing is fucking sick. |
