history repeats its self, in one form or another and have we truley learned from the past...... i think not... we have progressed and everything in someways... but facts and truth always get warped ect... whilst it is important to keep and maintain our past.... and hay it is a film after all, (based on events, ect ect) artistic liberties, isn't this what films are meant to be... your not gona please every one all of the time and all of the time you cant please every one....

Are you saying history is irrelevant? Surely, the past makes us all who we are now, whether as people or countries. It does matter. It can help us to learn and grow and hopefully not make the same mistakes again. There could be no progress without recorded history as all knowledge would die out with each generation and we'd still be living in caves. This is a movie, of course, but many americans will eroneously believe it is fact - which is a total travesty, as discussed below.

well in 2004 the us government recognized aboriginal influence on the decleration..and one of the major differences were that yea the indians did let women vote while the americans didnt

With the greatest of respect, I am confused about your logic and sources. British parliamentary democracy was established well before contact with the indians, as we have agreed, and by virtue of the empire, it had already spread around the world, before the Iroqouis had been encountered. Where did Franklin say this? America is hugely influenced by english common law. Please do check some facts and do some reading (not trying to sound funny, but i don't know where you get this stuff from).

britain did spread it, but htey spread sumthin that was originated from indians, thus they caused it. and the american thing, benjamin franklin observed the iroqouis and that greatly influenced the constitution..it wasnt a mirror of the indians, but it was heavily influenced by it |
