I had this played at my husbands funeral. Along with I Pledge Alligance to the Lamb. Thanks be to God that my anchor held during that time.

This was my brothers favorite song. After a hard life, and many mistakes, my brother was a born again Christian. He was diagnosed with cancer at age 39 and passed away in his sleep at 40. The part where the song says, "It was in the night I faced the storms of my life and that's when God proved his love to me". I just thank God for that, my brother didn't suffer and God loved him so much that He just took him quietly and peacefully.

Glory unto Jesus be!From the curse who set us free; All our guilt on Him was laid,He the ransom fully paid. All that blessed work if done,God's well-pleased with His Son;He has raised Him from the dead,Set Him over all as Head. This we know, and cease to mourn,Patient wait His sure return:For His saints with Him shall reign — Come, Lord Jesus, come! Amen!

What an amazing song and message. Ray Boltz does an outstanding job on it. Praise be to Jesus that he is there to hold us in the storms.

What an amazing song,....wonderful video too. I just finished shedding some tears of affection for my Lord and Saviour. How I wish to be drawn closer to Him in righteousness. Jesus my unwavering Achor holds forever. Halleluyah, Amen.

Amazing voice, amazing message, amazing song. The first I heard this song was at a funeral for a friend so dear it was like losing a mother. I have not cried at a funeral or death of friend since. For the anchor holds! I know that my family, and even my friends who I have watched die in the service, will walk with me again when I reach God's golden shore. Until that day comes Rest In Peace guys, I'll be seeing you. Praise be to God and Jesus my savior. You are my sword and shield in the dark.

Ray Boltz is currently retired from the music industry and from I understand he is not scheduling dates or recording. It says on his web page that he has taken an extended leave from touring.
