Yeah, that's right, the real concern of scientist who fear climate change, declines in potable water etc. is concenrn for people not the planet itself. People like "itcurry" should understand that those man made phenomena are a threat to life. How could we take political stances on just basic threats to our species?

In a way you're right - man does not make a global impact in the context of the 4.5B years and counting lifespan of The Earth.**BUT** in the context of our hold on the planet, and our ability to support a modern industrial society and over 6.5B people we are hanging by our fingertips.And that's not a liberal conspiracy.

As if 100 or 200 a bombs tested would really effect the earth in its history after countless ice ages, warming to a desert ages, being hit my asteroids and comets that are equal to a million hydrogen bombs exploding at the same time, and yet the earth remained. The Moon was smached out of our planet, yet the earth remains. Man does not make the global impact liberals want you too believe. |
