All comments cool, and let's say a word about Gram's bravery. Outdoor concert, Costa Mesa, CA, lots of bands, lots of frivolity... Byrds play a couple of songs, then abandoned Gram to sing "country" to an audience wanting hard rock n roll. Eric Burdon had just eaten roses off a girl's belly. The way he stood at the microphone, singing his heart out, unaware of the lack of appreciation from the audience ... it was one of the bravest performance I've ever seen. Became a fan right then and there.

Gram and Rick Danko would have made a great duo

Simply love this song. I can't help but to find similarities between Gram's songwriting and that of one of my other favorite songwriters Robbie Robertson. With Gram obviously more country and Robbie more rock. This song for instance brings to mind "It Makes No Difference" from The Band. There are others as well were I hear similarities. I dunno. Just my thoughts.

I've never cried from hearing any singer sing until I heard Gram Parsons. He is greatly missed. |
