You know I'm 21, and I've listened to all kinds of music, I started off with pop and dance, and I think its a shame that pop and dance are drummed into young people today, I've never felt anything from pop music, but jazz and blues really does make a mark on me and my playing style. I think that its a shame that there isn't much in the market now a day like this, and young people are to narrow minded to let themselves experience it.

you know a lot of musicians don thnk singers use our minds to think of the beats they think we just sing on what we know lol i laughed when sum one said that to me cuz i use my minda all da time to stay with the beat

why dont you go get a bunch of miles albums and listen untill you find a songyou like... it doesn't really matter which, just as long as you like it and try and play it like miles did...

actually, this guy is right....no one takes the time to make music these days. we are all still struggling to try and catch up to what miles had going on almost 40 years ago.
