i have no idea about "opium dream". but i agree dat it may sounds poetic. but sometimes "who's saying it" is more important dan "what has been sed". and whatever i have sed, however poetic or not, has some truth in them about the way i meant. and may be velvet underground or lou reed has little to do with what i meant to say. also, as a song and as a statement, this song is pure, honest and blissfully provocative. we must agree on dat.

Color it how you want. But in essence its really only a poetic interpretation of the physical sensation of shooting heroin from a standpoint similar to that of an "opium dream".
