Beautiful song... its simplicity is poignant and striking.

My Great Grandfather, an Englishman, died here. This song always makes me cry. A beautiful representation.

Zinger...Probably because lot's o' yanks never spent time there? I went to Sydney in'69 for my 5-day Rn'R, then early '70 for a 30-day-leave in return for extending my tour...then for a couple of week's right after Christmas of '99. Had to buy "How to Speak OZ For the Complete Dummy" and study it before the trip!Main differences between '70 & '00 were I'd hear the Brits called "Bloody Fuckin' Limeys" in '70, but simply "Bloody Pommies" in '00. Plus the addition of color tv...

Cactus...Dunno how to insert a pic of me at Simpson's statue, but I hugged it in early '00 while visiting Joe Ralph, an OZ Nam mate of mine who was a crew chief door-gunner on a Huey slick in the joint OZ/US 135th EMU...America has NO other ally which has helped us MORE than you Diggers!!!One thing I remember about Simpson's statue...I had NO idea Aussies were so damned TALL back in WWI!!!
