This was one of the best Hard Rock bands to come out of the '80's. They should have definitely had more exposure. Their second album was incredible; better than their first. It's so sad that Ray Gillen had to die so young. Great, BLUES-BASED, soulful Rock & Roll with an edge. How badly we need more bands like Badlands now!

Interesting. I understand Zakk's obsession with Randy, in interviews he praises Randy as much as possible, but he never pays any kudos to Jake.I've never heard or read Zakk saying anything negative about Jake E. Lee, he just doesn't mention him at all. I respect Zakk, but I think that's weird.

Zakk has played a few songs of Jake's but, to be completely honest he can only phone them in...I love Zakk's work, he just can't copy Jake.

No doubt. I met him in 93 @ the NAMM show & at that moment he was a very freindly & humble guy. Saw this band about 6 times & they were just plain badass.

This man's talent is beyond measure. In person he is so cool you would not believe it. Jake even played in New York City with his leg in full cast and sounded AWESOME.Live in Peace and UNITE.

Shanzilla, that is interesting. It makes sense. Here's another thing that makes me wonder... Zakk Wylde has never played Jake E. Lee songs live. Is it that Sharon hasn't given permission? Zakk publicly worships Randy, but you never hear a word from the Ozzy/Zakk camp about Jake E. Lee.It's like they just want to bury that guy and forget about him.

I think I remember That Jake's leaving had something to do with Sharon not Ozzy or playing more pentatonics. |
