I looked into the hull note. It's purpose was to give Chinese freedom fighters supplies to fight the Japanese who machine who were committing a genocide against the Chinese. Plus the main reason for the attack on pearl harbor was that we cut off japan's oil to stop them conquering asia and killing millions of innocent people.

We choked Japan's oil supply because Japan attacked China, after we did that they bombed Pearl Harbor.There you go-.-
