Yeah, Barrow is North of Preston, but Scarborough is further still. I think Stanley could be one of many; Stanley ( Liverpool ) or even Stanley ( Wakefield ). Who cares; mint song!

Stanley is possibly the furthest north: it is near Newcastle. However, it is not clear whether they mean Accrington Stanley, the football team, or the two separate towns of Accrington and Stanley.Barrow is north of Preston, by the way.

I find it funny how all these small West Yorkshire towns are in the list. Ossett, fair enough, it is where I come from. Hebden Bridge, a bit obscure. Featherstone - erm, not sure why that was included.

newcastles too grim for this song, if he'd mentioned newcastle it would have pussied up the grimness of all the other places mentioned, which are actualy south to me. being a geordie, from the most northern city in england, this song is completey void to me!
