an offroader is not made by the electrics that work out for you how to drive best. its made by the lumps of cast and drawn metal that turn and rattle and squeak, and by whoevers behind the wheel. any old moronic muppet can get behind the wheel of a new offroader and go well off road. if you learn to drive in say, an lx, then 1. youre screwed if you drive an older 4x4, and 2. you cant progress because you dont have basic knowledge about how to actually drive off road.

true but most vehicles these days have electronics, the lx is built on the same platform the landcruiser is built on. The only electronics the lx probably has are all the electronic stability controls which actually gets turned off once you put it in 4lo, except for the new one which has a crawl feature..so jsut cos a 4wd has electonics to make a good 4wd an even better off roader its not a real offroader..
