"strength" into "voice"....today we are full of singing books and methods....but where are the great voices like this...and sure I am that there are good voices around...but where is the "meat".....today many teachers teach the "low larynx"....but do they really know what does man?..if so why is it there are not more "big" voices....any way this is my personal opinion...please reply me with your comments...thanks....

to my mario del monaco was the "bruce lee" of the opera....he knew or was though how to produce the most of his sound...in comparation bruce lee was not the biggest man out there....there had been and are strongers men that him....but who can really punch with that intensity of bruce.....there must be something in common between those two.....bruce did not have any fat at all he was "solid as steel"......mario looked thiny but maybe he knew how to "transform"...that body....continue...

in my personal opinion mario del monaco has been the greatest tenor....look at him...he is thin and average man body...he did not have the body size of domingo, corelli, pavarotti...and so many more.....he did not have any big belly as today many tenors have....he also seems to articulate more...today tenors are biger more muscle and breath capacity...but where is the sound...there must be something magic and unique about mario and his technique......continue...

over 400 interpretations of Verdi's Otello...! He wanted to be buried dressed with the Otello's clothes that draw himself for the scenes

Um grande tenor, mas não me passa qualquer emoção. Canta tecnicamente. Placido Domingo é sentimento, emoção, canta com a alma, me leva às lágrimas. Domingo é Otelo.!

Yes indeed, but there are better renditions of this, his greatest role. Curious about the context in which this was filmed.. . however, he is Otello and all others must be measured by this standard.
