At almost 10 minutes long, this latest addition to the Project-JK video collection is by far the most extensive one that Cindy has done to date and in my opinion, her best one as well. In it, you will see trip highlights from our August 2007 run up to the Buck Rock Trail which is located close to Hume Lake and Sequoia National Park. On this trip, we had a total of six Jeep's along for the ride including one 4-door Jeep JK Wrangler Rubicon Unlimited sitting on a Full Traction 3" Ultimate Lift and 33" BFG M/T's, a 2-door Jeep JK Wrangler Rubicon sitting on a TeraFlex 2.5" Budget Boost and 35" Cooper STT's, a 2-door Jeep JK Wrangler X sitting on a Pro Comp 2" Budget boost and 32" BFG M/T's, a bone stock Jeep JK Wrangler 4-door Rubicon Unlimited and my 4-door Jeep JK Wrangler Rubicon Unlimited which is sitting on a Full Traction 3" Ultimate Lift and 35" Pro Comp Xtreme M/T's.

Went to Buck Rock to climb the look-out. Hey what's this a trail too? So now I want to take my Disco, but no trail buddies.

ZX2ManDave: If you're tired of driving a stick, then get an auto. I drove stickshift cars for a long time and was ready for an auto tranny. My wife insisted that stick was better for jeeps, but I've heard several people disagree. I prefer the auto personally.loralee347, your comment typically comes from ppl who don't own a JK and just read about it. The motor is quite capable of doing everything it needs to do. Sure it could be more powerful but it's nothing to scoff at.BTW i love the vids!

I have a 6-speed but have seen the autos do extremely well on the trail. And, depending on who you talk to, some would argue better than a stick.

Automatic Vs Stickshift? I want another Jeep, i had one years ago back in the 90s and miss it. But i dont know if i can handle another stickshift. All ive ever owned is stickshifts and my left foot/ankle is starting to give me problems. So, does the automatic work well for mild to medium off-roading? I wouldnt be doing nothing major, no major boulder climbing or anything. Just a daily driver and occasionally a trip through the woods, mudding or snow.
For those considering buying a new vehicle, don't forget to check out the new 2008 Toyota FJ Cruiser. Great for adventures off road, just for cruising around town, or running to the store.

The new 2008 Toyota FJ Cruiser seats five and comes in two-tone with a Voodoo Blue, Titanium Metallic, Black Diamond, Sun Fusion, Sandstorm or Brick body color and White top. The interior fabric color is Dark Charcoal, while the dash, center instrument panel trim and the door inserts match the body.
