last year my dad died, when we sold the house i grabbed all of his cds and he had a ton of sanborn cds along with the yellowjackets, spyro gyra, etc, i have never listened to jazz until now. This guy is awesome! something to remember my dad

practice bending individual notes down several half steps. that'll teach you throat control. then just slide from A above the staff to Altissimo A, while forcing your throat to bend the notes down. After a while, you should be able to easily bend any given pitch down a minor third or greater, with just your throat/lip/jaw/tongue combination.
