DigInfo - ( http://movie.diginfo.tv)With more and more car developers making hybrid and electric cars, Suzuki is exploring the concept of hybrid motorcycles with their crosscage, a fuel cell powered bike with a unique engine and body design.Crosscage's air cooled fuel cell designed by British company Intelligent Energy helps slim down this design by eliminating the need for a radiator or coolant system. Located just above the hydrogen fuel tank, the fuel cell is very compact, light, and powerful. It sends power to the motor controller which stores it in the lithium ion battery or sends it to the motor. Through combining oxygen in the air and hydrogen from the fuel tank to create power this motorcycle's exhaust is only water vapor thus helping reduce CO2 emissions and protect the environment. On a single tank of hydrogen the crosscage can travel about 200km and has the power equivalent of 125ccs. The crosscage from which the motorcycle gets its name is not merely an aesthetic choice but also protects the hydrogen fuel tank which is located directly behind the intersecting point. There is also a sensor at the top of the chassis which constantly checks for hydrogen leaks and shuts off the fuel tank if there are any abnormalities.

One question. How fast does it go?
jeremiahdrigg (October 9, 2008 at 2:03 am)
it is getting better. it has a problem of evaporating while sitting. but new tech is coming out to help relieve this problem. the hydrogen is also way cheaper. so only time will tell how relisble the hydrogen source is.

We're getting closer to the Tron Light Cycle everyday.

nope, it was a gas engine. carl benz (mercedes benz) invinted the first car. also the differntial, the watercooler, the gear transmission and on and on... henry ford invinted the assembly line.

BEST BIKE OUT THERE SO FAR

I cant say, I recently learned that hydrogen fuel cells have less range than modern electric vehicles. New batteries can dump more power over a longer period. In the case of the Killacycle its battery is more advanced than the electric motor it uses. The Killacycle can fry its motor.

A German made the first car. It was powered by steam if I remember right. Ford did not invent the car. He perfected the production line. By perfecting the production line he was able to mass produce his cars so cheap that his cars achieved market saturation.

how well is hydrogen reliable? is it a good source of power to power a car?
