I was referring to girls in anime, who has big eyes in order to sell more. It's only a matter of business, and it doesn't equal to personal offense. Moreover, in some fantasy animes, ethnicity isn't even involved, so there is no one that's mentioned to be "asian" or "european". Ethnicity isn't involved with anime. Anime is just there to look pretty and give fanservice. That's how the industry make money.

Alright, I DID do a bit of research, and according to wikipedia (I'm lazy), it was first used to "repair deformities that occur due to cancer in the eyelids". Oh, and some EUROPEAN dude coined the phrase. Even if the Japanese invented it, eyelid surgeries are extremely popular in Korea, too. What does this say about Koreans? 8\

Um, the Japanese having an inferioty complex 200 years ago have nothing to do with modern day people who has inferioty complexs of their own, who is ashamed of their race and want to be thin and cute like the average Japanese whore. I doubt any average Japanese person today is ashamed of being Asian though. 8\Anime is just a form of entertainment >_> The eyes are big in order to appeal to the fanboys and the western audience. This is truly a deep rooted inferiority complex that the Japs have about themselves.They created cartoons with characters who have HUGE eyes!...even bigger than WHITES. LOL! For example - "speed racer, etc." This does not diminish the influence of Japanese anime or pop culture, but it says alot about their psyche and especially their attitude towards other "Asians."

Japanese invented "blepharoplasty" in the 1800's! LOL! Please research it.By the way, this means eye-lid surgery for Asians. Why did they do so? Because during this industrialization period, and openning to the WEST, they didn't want to be confused or associated with "other" Asians. It was an inferiority complex.Infact, they didn't want to be considered "Asian" at all. They were ashamed of themselves.

No way man, anime freaks don't want anything other than anime and there ARE animations that are made in Korea. Japanese-wannabes are just people with low self esteem for themselves and their culture, so they wish to be a pretty, skinny Japanese girl. Same goes for Korean-wannabes. There are equal amounts of both, because there are equal amounts of Jap and Korean stars that have plastic surgery.

lol and most of the people that watch Japanese videos on youtube are Japanese-wannabes, there are a lot of those compared to Korean-wannabes. Most of them are just anime freaks who spend way too much time and money on it.
