Good video!Just one thing: You actually strop after a shave? After a shave the burr/rigde (I don't really know the apropriate english word here, but I guess you know what I mean) that actually does the shaving is mostly bend over and of course strained. Thats why it is adviced to let the steel rest for at least 24 hours, after that part of the rigde gets back into its original position. Stropping right after the shave will most likely do some damage to the rigde, because it is still strained.

Because it is badass and it makes me feel more like a man. Sometimes you need to inject a little danger into the mundane areas of your life (like shaving). It makes a relatively boring activity a bit more exciting :)

Why do you use a straight razor knowing that shaving with a safety razor is much easier and fast? do you really get a closer shave by using the straight?

Thanks man

You can get pretty quick, but in general it takes me about 2x as long. This is mainly because you have to strop before and after, plus if you are too reckless when shaving you can get cut a lot easier with a straight razor. With a safety razor all you have to do is drag it over your skin haphazardly.Ben |
