omg, please. First, you have to understand that Japan does not float on water, it is part of the pacific tectonic plate, it just happens to be above sea level. The island will not "sink" An earthquake will not cause a whole section of a tectonic plate to sink, its just too massive. Once again, get your facts straight.Rising sea levels will eventually cover parts of japan.

Yes, But to much weight will force island to sink, dont you understand, for example, if you stand on dirt and push down what happends? you leave a foot print, japan is like that foot print, enough weight will force island down. Water will come in and japan will no longer be a liveable place for there people, Leaving 127 million people homeless, and many many dead.

japan has like 2 billion people, Japan has biggest amout of people in the WORLD! Japan is a small island and it can only hold so much weight, even islands can fall apart if its to heavey, it's only matter of time.
