The collaboration with Tim McGraw was useless and unnecessary. The guy does not have a sufficient vocal range to be singing a melodic rock song.Seems like when some rockers get older and lose their edge they flirt with country music or its artists. Bon Jovi and Van Zandt are classic examples.This is a good song nevertheless and could have done with out the antiseptic typical post-2000 production and Tim McGraw.

I Think The Best Part Is The beginning Of the chorus then i think chorus is average and I Don't Like Tim McGraw Either At Least Not For This Song

I think that I like 9 Lives the best. I do like Promises though. I do agree that people should have their own opinion but they really should cut the foul language.

*sighs* i don't think there's a video on youtube that doesn't have people bitching at eachother in the comments section. if somebody doesn't like the song,let them say they don't like it. there's no rule that says good comments only. now if someon keeps bashing it for no reason other than bordem and hating the band,then they need to be told to shut up and go elsewhere. but otherwise,let people have their opinions even you think they're stupid

I think "9Lives" is similar to"Promises".Which song do you like better? For me, it is almost a toss up. |
