moonneeds, no. Just, no. Lovecraft would never give approbation to being in this. I would expect someone like King to, but not the Gentleman from Rhode Island. He wouldn't even put his name on any film, so it's disgraceful enough that Masters of Horror (whom I abhor) got hold of his name to make a movie of Dreams in the Witch House. To think that Celebrity Deathmatch would have him simply fight another person for the sake of fighting another person is preposterous. He was a cynical materialist.

Well, he does write about such things as a haunted car. You can tell he spent a long time thinking that one up. Haunted houses are overdone, let's move to something... A HAUNTED CAR! That's scary. Now to make the IQ of the characters so unfortunately infinitesimal that they could actually be killed by a goddamn car. Haunted houses have the lure of possible treasure or power. But a car?! It's too absurd to enjoy. King's years of writing have produced The Shining. Anything else can be disposed of.

While I don't much care for Rowling, I must say that you basing your antipathy for an author on her fans and her choice to write in the fantasy genre is quite unsophisticated. It would be like me saying "Stephen King and his readers are goths and emos. Why don't they just go kill themselves?" It's called generalization.
