Freezer paper (in the grocer's lunch bag section) is waxed on one side only. If you get melted plastic onto your iron (yikes), let the iron cool all the way, then sponge or cottonball dab acetone (PLAIN nail polish remover). Don't get the chemical on any of the iron's plastic casing. Melted plastic should come right off, even with paper towel.
