He always does. His lines are genius.

TrulyYours, that was a very lame thing to say. Obviously you must not have a very well understanding of jazz. I'm sure Freddie would have had just as much respect for Tom as Tom did for him. You every seen Tom live? It's scary. Genius flows from him.

i dont think so. tom is a god on trumpet, just as freddie is.

Tom was lucky Hubbard wasn't there. He probably wouldn't have played!

Faddis's and Harrell's solo were both wildly different! Uncomparable! They were both fantastic and will both appeal to different people. I have nothing against people prefering one solo over the other just don't get all bitchy and the other solo was rubbish because neither Harrell's or Faddis's solo was anything near a low standard.

Faddis's playing isn't better or worse.Harrel's playing isn't better or worse. They're just DIFFERENT.My god, people. Learn to respect other musicians and what they do.

Hey I love Faddis and Diz both. But really appreciate Toms improvising.

Many solo performers set up their horns for a darker fuller more open sound.Flugel is supposed to be in contrast to a Trumpet's brighter sound.Cornets Trumpets and all horns can be set up either way. Many lead players that play in the upper register set up their horns for a brighter more cutting sound. |
