i'm not saying they're emos,'emo' is a retarted term for a stereotype,who isn't emotional?and most of the bands around today,all look emo especially the post-hardcore bands like blessthefall.emo shouldn't be associated with scene crap,fuck that its the music that matters not the fucking fashion show.

i love SDRE!!!!the godfathers of emo rock!!!i gotta say i hate today's "emo" rock but i like SDRE because they made emo rock an actual genre of music instead of it being just something u can buy at a store.today emo is just all about apparel but when SDRE created it it was just and alternative form of music like shoegaze or grudge and indie rock on SDRE!!!

The definition of this music style is just called emo and a lot of emo's listen to this, that doesn't have to mean the band members and all are emo, too. so shut up and just listen to the music if u like it or screw.

take a look at the band-they don't have emo hair,no eyeliner,ladies trousers,lip piercings anything.now its a fucking uniform,if you don't dress in som other persons interests,you're not emo,you're not emotional because you express how YOU want to dress.because not everyone can afford expensive clothing at hot topic.if emo comes from emotional hardcore,then everyone goes around saying they're an emotional hardcore.if its from emo philips,you're still not emo or AN emo-you're john or whoever.

You are completely wrong, and here's why you are wrong: you are basing your definition of "emo" upon that which you currently hear. If you were to listen to SDRE when this first album came out, like I did, you would have realized that this is alt/indie rock. If you wanted to label anything as "emo," you would have gone for "Fugazi." Now that's emo. Verse chorus verse /= emo. If your voice were truth, Toad the Wet Sprocket would be "emo."

I'm surprised "Diary" wasn't a big-seller when it was first released. SDRE is one of those bands everybody discovers years after they break up.
