I'm inclined to agree actually. I love Elbow and I do enjoy the new album, but if it wasn't for the glorious "One Day Like This" I wouldn't be massively impressed with it. I miss their angst from Asleep in the Back and Cast of Thousands to be honest. I don't think getting married, having children and settling down has a particularly positive effect on some artists music-wise!

i agree that elbow lack the diversity when doing a set. but when they are the main attraction like in colston hall april 2008, they changed a lot all the way through
