You're right, Jake. I don't know why I always think I'm qualified to offer any musical commentary. For further information on the North-Central schism, ask Mason for a copy of the tuba part for this year's show. Just do it.

yea so I go to Central and we're always talking about how North always plays things people have barely ever heard but despite this I do enjoy watching them perform when I get the chance which is usually only at like one or two competitions throughout the year.

so i love all the commotion caused by a certain member of my family/ ex-member of the north band. and if you don't like the show... who really cares?!?! in all honesty, you just need to chill because if this is worst thing that has happened to you, you have either a great life or screwed up priorities. :)

1st: Eric Justice, you're not allowed to shout that!2nd: Having been a member of North's band for four years (Class of 07), I can say the directors always chose music that was both challenging to play and enjoyable to hear. Just because the audience has probably never heard of most of the things we played, that doesn't mean it is not as fun to listen to. The band did a great job considering all the seniors they lost, and the fact that their director was absent for the majority of the season.

I would say that this illustrates perfectly the difference between a North and Central band. No words are necessary to describe that further.I go to Central. No offense to my side, but I would choose a no-frills show like this over any show I've ever been a part of. I lived at Tanglewood and got to play Copland 3; it was one of the most beautiful experiences of my life. And the Gun Battle from Billy the Kid? The programming for this show is outstanding. (PS I study Copland constantly)

first, i wasn't cocky. second,i am not in this band anymore. i graduated in '06 and as an alum, they didnt sound anywhere near the previous 3 years, but they in all honesty played a better show than central, but who cares right? i can tell you what a professional band sounds like. i am in TBDBITL so no, im not gonna claim north was "awesome" but they preformed their music(however lame it was)to the expectations of the OMEA. Mr. Sewell is an amazing guy and I only wish I could play for him again
