No matter whether you use pick or no, youre just as good as you are... there are artists who dont use pick at all (Knopfler) and artists who use it and many of them can rock the socks off...BTW you cant compare Brooks and Clapton... Clapton is a legend, player, who is adored by many millions of people and we must admit, he deserve it.. Brooks is just another good guitarist...

Again, I never said he wasn't good. My original statement about picks bein for "sissies" was reference to Duane Allman and how good he was, not using a pick. I agree, Clapton is good. Have you heard Tim Brooks play? I wouldn't use the word "nobody" to describe him. Unknown perhaps. Eric Clapton can only hope to ever play like Tim.

eric clapton didn't specialize in slide, so you can't compare that to Tim Brooks. besides tim brooks is a nobody, who the fuck is that?. I think people are just loyal fans of eric so whatever he plays they are gonna appreciate, which is something very few artists have. nonetheless, for someone who doesn't specialize in it, he is indeed goood at it.
