Tesla and Dr Moray electric generators might help and Stan Meyer fast hydrogen generators look promising. Wind and Sun are weak.

This plan WILL NOT WORK - Natural gas has doubled in price in the last couple of years and will increase by another 20% in the next 4 months (so says Michigan utility company CMS). It makes no sense to convert our cars to CNG or any other natural gas based fuel - supplies of this heating fuel are dwindling. The wind power part is good.

Sounds good but Boones real plan is to buy up all the water rights, Water is the new oil. If it smells like a rat, then most likely its a rat.

I love the common sense of this....we need renewable energy and we need a plan- oil is over. putting our head in the sand is stupid.why dont we address this situation for what it is..... an emergency! good for mr pickens for stepping forward. no wonder he's successful.

Pickens is disingenuous. The 3/4 trillion $ payout for oil is not a "transfer of wealth." It is a quid pro quo transaction--they get money, we get oil. Pickens, not exactly an economics dummy, knows this. One of his investors, Nancy Pelosi, will not let congress vote on new drilling for oil--she's invested in Pickens's company for non-drilling energy. Obie has had hush hush meetings with Pickens. Pickens has never done anything that didn't have piles of money in it for him.

if we didn't have NEEDLESS REGULATIONS like 'corporate liscencing' or 'PERMITS to add solar mirrors on your housewe wouldn't be in this bullsh!t position. corporate liscencing prevents new bright minds from getting in the game and permits discourage us from having them installed; it's YOUR PROPERTY you should be allowed to intall whatever you want that isn't a drug lab.

I don't think Pickens plan is honest. This is another wealth transfer scheme from the poor to the wealthy. Otherwise, he wouldn't need political support. This is a plan to steal water resources from the Ogallala aquifer across land taken with government help through eminent domain. Imagine the value of your home if the well you require runs dry. If Pickens' motives were pure, his business would be open to public investment. It wouldn't need this highly advertised political campaign either.

Eminent domain was envisioned for times like these. We cannot afford to sit still.
