Holy crap I remember this! I remember it from when I was visiting relatives in Szeged when I was, what, 4? I used to think he was a witch (because of the hat). Old-school Hungarian goodness!

uhm...I'm missed it,this rabbit cartoon is hungarian, but the style looks like "Bob and Bobek","The Little Mole",etc. These really Czech cartoons, right? :)I know what are you talking about, the Hungarian name is:"Pom-Pom Meséi" (his friend is a school girl, and a fat bird, who always eat choclate) :)And I also remember other Czech cartoon from my childhood,Hungarian name is "Rumcájsz" (a lumberjack with big beard and hat).I'm like it,very funny :)

Sorry, I don't remember any "checked-ear rabbit". If it's from the early 80s and didn't rerun I might have missed it.As for Hungarian cartoons on Czech TV I'm afraid the only one that has regular reruns is the Mézga család cartoons. But before there were other Hugarian cartoons on air as "Mecháček" (in Czech) - I have no idea what's the Hungarian name - it was about a "sprite" or "imp" who looked like a bunch of hair with eyes and nose, could change his form to look like "a wig, a brush..."

And some other Hungarian cartoons run on the Czech TV? I'm watch some Czech cartoons in the 80's,my favorite is the "checked-ear rabbit" (hungarian:"a kockás fülü nyúl").You know, the rabbit, who live in the suitcase, and who can fly with his ears :)

Hey, thanks for placing it on YouTube. I`ve had a good time watching it here in England.Could someone finally place funny Hungarian cartoons with English subtitles here so that foreigners could also fully enjoy it? |
