It's basically a mistake in the timeline. Flash sometimes ends up with errors. Cuz flash is very manual, you will have to make sure you have evrything in order. Just start again and make sure you done everyithng correctly. if this doesn't work, PM me and tell me exaclty what happened!

Well, best thing to do is, like give guide layer and put the background or highlight the head and right click-click distribute to layers.if that fails, try and do everything on the same layer. Another simple way will be to insert layer and trace over the original head and then do it the way u did before which might work...im not quite sure

It's all about layers. The list of layers to the left of the timeline is in an order. If you put a rectangle on the top layer, the rectangle will be on top of everything else on the stage, if they are on layers underneath.

it helped me! the frown thingy did worked... but the BG is plain blue... as I said the damn face is covered if I choose a rectangle option...

oh god... when I try doing the BG it covers my paranoic face! I want the BG behind him so how do I do that? I always draw the BG before characters... its weird I drew the face then the shadow and when I make a rectangle for the BG the shadow isn't covered... but the face does! help?

ya but when i click scene 1 right next to word timeline it does nothing.i have flash 8 i followed your vid to the t.but it doesnt put them all together |
