Most white people don't naturally espouse the theories of non-violence that Ghandi embraced. So it is ironic to hear these weapon amassing people sit and lecture "terrorists" that they should be non-violent. Ha! Do they think they are stupid? The US is not be dealt with like an Indian -England situation, but rather as the violent assholes they are to the rest of the world, i.e giving millions in weapons to Israel to kill Palestinian children.

Standing up for one's people is great IF you do it right. Violence is almost never right. Bin laden would be more successful if he emulated purveyors of non-violence, like, say, Ghandi or MLK.

typically—at least in my view—a great man does not stand up for 'his' people by:A) exacting mass murder and terror on othersB) doing actions that bring the marines to 'his' country ready to kick the ass of the people 'he' was standing up for.Also, ask yourself what is a worse form of imposition: the pre-9/11 status quo or the post-9/11 overt military intervention?

I grew up in a lillte town , 16 kids in our family. And I will tell you know that if the federal goverment or local establishment would have pushed on us like we have in the rest of the world to others. We would have killed them. Bin laden is a great man for standing up for his people, even though we lable him as a terroist
