Yes of course, you are true with the tempo...but whatever she plays, there is her personal touch we can say it's " Ravel" idea, but Martha interpretation with true meaning of it here !!! Close your eyes, and it looks so much like drops of crystal water falling !It also makes me think of Theater: for example, Moliere may be the author of some piece and say whatever the costumes he wants etc..but it's then up to the interprets to make it in the time and imagination of there present moment !:)

Whe can love this, and I do that, but is impossible to said that she respect the tempo!!! She is amazing but she respcted not the style and the ideas of Ravel. I put right now Casadesus's version on my Channel. The True on Jeux d'eau.

This interpretation is just great :) I love the way she phrase and still respect the tempo that is meant to be. It's my favorite for now :) !

I love this performance of Jeux d'eau. Martha Argerich is a wonderful pianist. I love the little smile of satisfaction she gives at the end. |
