I wish not to argue with you and I guess ultimiatly you could be right for "who knows" really but for now I do not agree. I work as an interpreter for the Rroma and have studied for twenty years about it. My Poppo knows the leading Rroma antropologist like Ronald Lee and Ian hancock is also very educated about it, he is a good family friend to us and I have been an activist for the people for many many years in place of my Poppo Toma Stanley. As far as I know, the first song rama pir ji is a very old folk song and is dedicated to baba ramdev pir ji( who was a baba and pir at same time) on whose name we have a pilgrim near bikaner named Ramdevra. On this song the dance which is generally performed using manjire( instruments in there hand) is known as Terha Tali, in which the women tie those atleats 13 places on body and while singing they hit on diff places performing dance and making music out of it.

i am now for acouple of days listening to the first song and each time i come ina sort of trance, so amazing its really divine i cant find words to describe it also realizing that these people problaby neverhad music lesson or cant read music notes i think this music has been unchanged for maybe hundreds or more years does anyone know more about it?
