Not necessarily in Aztec society if they thought their leader wasn't fit to rule, it was in their "custom" to replace him with another leader. Yes, I agree when Disease wipes out 3/4 of your enemies forces, and you have 75,000+ Native Allies fighting for you, and all the Spanish have to do is play a third/minor role. It is a rather easy task, however a task NOT worthy of being labeled Conquistador.

aztecs didn't have domestic horses... hahaha no chance... they didn't have forges, no armors neither... and their preachers weren't prepared to fight against cahtolic priests missions... besides that overwhelming difference, their political structure wasn't prepared to stand regicide.. easy task for the spanish empire...

wolozai, the native languages of the natives that the spanish conquered still exist. Over one million mexicans still speak the aztec language nahuatl. In south america too

You know what is so amazing about Spain ? Spain is the only conqueror who swept away the languages of the people they conquered. UK could not do that in Africa and other territories,France as well,Portugal too. But how did Spain manage ?

Nahuatl was our Language and Alphabet. Not Spanish and the Roman Alphabet. Ethnic cleansing at its worse.

Well said, amigo. Spanish was imposed on us, not by diplomatic or peaceful contact. Did you know the Spaniards actually kept the Indegenous ignorant of their own Language and Alphabet, so that they'll be dependent on Spaniards to read, and if lucky write. Talk about Ethnic cleansing...F@(K Cortes!
