Joe Versus the Volcano is one of my favorite Tom Hanks films. It's funny, but it also plays with your sentiments, sort of like a touching tale. I'm with Ebert in this review, it's original! I'm not sure why Siskel gave it a thumbs down..his criticism of the movie being too long, blah blah blah was very out of place. Oh well, he's dead now, so we can't argue!
