I could make out "Good evening, a Nuremberg bratwurst please" and Horowitz is a family name but most of that guy's name I don't know what it means.

It is having a laugh at the German aristocracy, some who had very lengthy names like Grafin Alexandra-Katherina von Mecklenburg-Pommern (Just made that up). + If you have some knowledge of the German languange it would be more amusing as it is just a conglomeration of random German words which although funny sounds rather impressive. More impressive than an English equivalent could be. A classic sketch imo.

All three. Is he making fun of Europeans who have long names? Or composers who have long names? Or do people find him witty because he is so amazingly talented that he can pronounce this drivel? Is he making fun of stuffed shirts who have hyphenated names? Are we to laugh at him or with him? |
