Incredible. I think a lot of pop singers put on this act, but the emotion in her voice is so genuine. I'd love for her to put out an album of classic songs like this.

her voice was shot a lot of last year because she had like no rest and was non stop singing those really tough songs in her upper register. but it's fine now, its not permanent. she just needed rest.....search her performance of "Never Again" in Jonesboro, she sounds as good as ever!

Well i don't think you can really redo such a legendary movie and she'd be a little old for dorothy, but her voice does remind me of a young Judy Garland when she does these standards

I love the albums she's making now, and seeing her do that material live just takes it to a whole different level of brilliant. So Rock on with that, Kelly. But I'm old school too & what a treat it would be to hear her put out some albums of material like this or covers of some great stuff like what she did on idol. Not just because of her stellar vocals, either. The big thing for me is just her interpretation of songs, the soulful, storyteller quality is always there, she always reaches me.

Dude, I hear what you're saying because sometimes Kelly seems like the poster child for vocal strain, but she's still got all the goods vocally. I mean, case in point: did you hear her sing for the Pope? Brilliant! Her last run went WAY into the upper register and sounded crystal clear. That performance wasn't even on 6 days rest after a long grueling tour of Europe, AU & the States. Yeah, Kelly pushes it with her voice touring some upper register rock songs but she has chords of steel.

if anything her most trying years for her voice were during the Breakaway album years and all those tours she did... and this is after all that.

Beg your pardon? She did this during the recording of My December. Rock music doesn't necessarily screw up your voice. Her voice is still fine.
