How can you admit and say the Bulls would lose to the Lakers but in the same statement say they could beat the Celts? Who do you think the Celts beat to win the championship with Bird?Look up Larry Bird hits game winning shot in Michael Jordan's Face on here. This is the matchups you spoke of.Notice that the shut down of Bird by Pippen isn't what would really happen. The shot Bird hit over Pippen and that Jordan can't block is finished off when Jordan's last second shot is blocked by McHale.

I'll giv u the Lakers because of Kareem's dominance, but like I said earlier, the Bulls would have matched up very well with any of those 80s Celtict teams. U rite the Bulls of the 90s had an easier road, but basketball is about matchups. The Bulls match up better to the Celts than the Celts do to the Bulls. Period.

Larry bird is one of the greatest players to ever play the game, top 5 deffinently. But to say hes the greatest of all time is a pretty unorthodox statement. Honestly, better than MJ? Magic? even kareem and wilt?

The Lakers and Celtics teams on the 80's could beat the 96 Bulls without a problem. The Bulls of the 90's had it easy compared to the Celtics in the 80's.

Dude you are being delusional or just in denial if you actually believe what you said.Pippen would have not shut down Bird and that's a fact.Pippen didn't do shit after he left the Bulls did he?Bird played against Rodman when he was on the Pistons. That didn't work out too well for Rodman either. You either are too young to recall the teams that Bird had to beat or just don't understand what you are saying. They played a Lakers team that would have beaten the Bulls as well.Jabbar,Magic,Worthy.

Dawg the Bulls had str8 up defensive stoppers on there team. Pippen would have neutralized Bird in a way that the Lakers never could. Rodman would have picked either McHale or Parish to neutralize, and Jordan would have put locks on Danny Ainge. If you think Bird would have dominated Pippen you are mistaken. Bird played zero one on one defense, and Pippen would have used that. I would take the 96 Bulls over any 80s Celtics team.
