What does love mean? This was a question asked of some 4 to 8 year olds. 'When my grandmother got arthritis, she couldn't bend over and paint her toenails anymore. So my grandfather does it for her all the time, even when his hands got arthritis too. That's love.'Rebecca- age 8'Love is when you go out to eat and give somebody most of your French fries without making them give you any of theirs.'Chrissy - age 6

'Love is what's in the room with you at Christmas if you stop opening presentsand listen.'Bobby - age 7 'If you want to learn to love better, you should start with a friend you hate,'Nikka - age 6

Ain't no good guys, ain't no bad guys, there is only us and them and we SEEM to disagree.Us and them, in itself, is still ego based. It is built on the concept that there is a 'me' and then someone else is doing or saying something that is in opposition to the ego based 'me'.This seeming opposition can be used to mirror our own inability to allow reality. Ugliness in 'other' can show us ugliness in 'self'. Once we see our own, we can allow it in others. No more reacting to content.

I love the brilliance of Tolle's language. Thanks for bringing those particular words to my (our) attention.

The word enlightenment conjures up the idea of some superhuman accomplishment, and the ego likes to keep it that way, but it is simply your natural state of felt oneness with Being. It is a state of connectedness with something immeasurable and indestructible, something that, almost paradoxically, is essentially you and yet is much greater than you. It is finding your true nature beyond name and form - TolleThis would be like "coming home" to all that have experienced it - Simply beautiful
